WELCOME ADDRESS BY THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF UMUAHIA SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA ON THE OCCASION OF THE WORKING VISIT THE ABIA STATE CHAIR OF PDP (CHIEF ALLWEII ASIFORO OKERE, PHD) TO UMUAHIA L. G. A ON THURSDAY, 2022.

Speaking on #Africshowbiz blogspot. Chief allwell asiforo Okere discloses some essential information about this situation in the political recognition of some vital delegation during this function. Umuahia south local government is endowed with political Heavey weights and 

juggernauts, 

like the secretary to abia state government (barrister Chris Ezem) who has been doing a marvelous job in oiling the machinery of the government through his numerous achievements so far. The chairman of the Umuahia south stakeholders, pastor Emeka iyama has been exceptional in his leadership qualities and he has wielded all the stakeholders together to form a formidable force that will be hard to beat by any opposing party in our local 

government. The memembers representing UMUAHIA South State constituency in the abia state house of assembly, Hon. Jerry uzosike, through his quality representation 

at state assembly and we his numerous philanthropic gestures Has positively affected the poor and needy. Through their combined efforts, they have endured that UMUAHIA south remains PDP.

We in UMUAHIA south local government are ready and willing to all that is required to ensure that you hand over Abia state to a 

PDP governor after the 2023 general elections. With the financial resources available to us} we have been able to accomplish/complete the following projects in the first one year of our administration:

COMPLETED PROJECTS:

1. Renovation and furnishing of Umuahia south executive chambers.

2. Umunga water borehole scheme at amakama olokoro.

3. Construction of central drainage system at ekudi oil market/umuopara.

4. Construction of the new UMUAHIA south legislative symbol. 

5. Renovation of legislative complex.

6. Renovation of executive chairman's  office/reception.

7. Construction of speed pumps at apumiri -Ubakala.

8 construction of office apartments for prisons and Homeland Security at the council headquarters.

9. Construction of a modern toilet system at osinulo shopping plaza and reticulation of water at isi-court.

10. Construction of a new toilet system at apimiri -Ubakala main market. 

11. Construction of security bars at the council Gates and beatification of the council environment.

12. Fixing of solar system lights at the council headquarters/Ehume and Ekenobizi communities etc. 

13. Grading of rural roads in umuopara, ubakala and olokoro.

14. Renovation of Ekudi oil markets hall. 

15. Grading/opening of a drainage system at abattoir (slaughter). 

16. Re-establishment/Renovation of council canteen.

ON-GOING PROJECTS:

1. DR. OKEZIE IKPEAZU Modern shopping complex, apumiri-ubakala.

2. Construction of umuopara town hall 

3. Construction of umuopara shopping mall 

4. Construction of chief Tony ukasanya shopping mall..

5. Construction of morden toilet system at ahiaukwu, olokoro
