DWELL ON ISSUES NOT CALUMNY: ENYINNAYA NWAFOR ADVISES POLITICIANS.

For the umpteenth time, political office aspirants and their followers have been advised to eschew the treacherous tendencies of blackmail, half-truths and campaign of calumny in pursuit of their aspirations. A leading contender for the office of Governor of Abia State in 2023, Engr Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor gave this advisory while interacting with political leaders from across the State on Easter Monday evening at his country home in Umuojima in Osisioma Ngwa LGA of Abia as part of activities marking the celebration of Easter this year. Recalling his growing up years with his late father, Dr Chima Nwafor, as a two-time Deputy Governor of the state, he could not remember any time his father or his close allies used foul words or contrived mischief to describe his/their contemporaries or opponents. Rather contestation of superiority of ideas and programs defined political engagements then even at the risk of losing one's position. He therefore wondered why many years after, some politicians and their foot soldiers are now relishing in lies and misrepresentation of others. He considers such misadventures as not only antithetical to good conscience but also  smacks of crass ineptitude, manifest lack of preparedness and mere shadow-boxing which leaves the purveyors in permanent quest for reconciliation after every electoral exercise.

Smarting up from a smooth- sailing consultation spree with party stakeholders  across the length and breadth of Abia State, the  frontline contender could not hide his admiration of well-meaning Abians  for the way and manner his agenda to facilitate the realisation of their wholesome dream of a better Abia resonates with the people, thereby reaffirming his resolve to follow through the process to the end without being distracted by naysayers who do not mean well for the State. He invited his motley few  traducers to make out time to study his vision and GRACE AGENDA in order to appreciate the enormity of the work ahead so as to be part of this moving train headed for the transformation of Abia in virtually all measures of better standard of living. He reiterated his mantra that taking Abia to the next level can only be achieved by someone who has demonstrated verifiable  interest in the State with the passion to serve and a towering commitment to leverage on professionalism, track record and best practices in statecraft and governance.

Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor therefore thanked his guests profusely for their steadfastness and commitment to his cause, maintaining that his exploits in business, philanthropy and human capital development are in the public domain and reassured that anyone needful of further clarifications should not hesitate to contact him or relevant Government agencies rather than peddling infantile tales by moonlight against a man who enjoys the grace of God. In his words" I will not be caught in the web of idle talks, misinformation or character assassination because I know that to re-engineer  and recalibrate the development dynamics of Abia State requires focus and clarity of purpose".
